Kid Vermin, This is where you need to know a bit more about Ruger's confusing catalog numbers. He obtained the gun in a trade a few years ago and has never fired it.īefore placing it for sale we would appreciate any recommendations on its value from those of you who are much more knowledgeable than I about the Single Six. He does have the extra cylinder box and red bag, original manual and a dated card from Ruger, as well as the shipping box stamped “Single Six Convertible”. When purchased by my friend it was in a red and black Ruger box that is in excellent condition, but is marked for a 6.5” Single Six. Both cylinders are inscribed with the last three digits of the serial number. As per the attached pictures, it appears in very good condition, with only slight wear on left side of barrel at crown end (likely from holster wear) and slight ring on both cylinders (.22LR cylinder shown, WMR cylinder has less of a ring). Ruger CS has confirmed to me that it was manufactured in October, 1967 catalog number is RSSM-X, model number 213. On behalf of a friend who is interested in selling some of his collection, I am seeking to get an estimate of the value of a 6.5”, blued, unconverted 3 screw Single Six Convertible.
